Knowing, anticipating and adapting to climate change: what are the challenges for France?
Info
As part of the Defence and Climat Observatory, coordinated by IRIS under the contract carried out on behalf of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces’ Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS), IRIS is pleased to organize a restricted seminar.
The anticipation of the impacts of climate change is necessary. Better understanding, better knowledge for better adaptation, an inevitable triptych to mitigate climate risks. This first event of the second cycle of the Defense and Climate Observatory brings together researchers, representatives of French institutions and the private sector to discuss the following questions: How will adaptation to the anticipated impacts of climate change be deployed in France and in areas of interest to France? How can we build a vision of the future that is sufficiently systemic and solid to remain relevant in the face of political upheaval? What tools and reflections should be used in French foresight?
